Coaching is unlocking a person’s potential to maximise their own performance. It is helping them to learn rather than teaching them.
It gives them new choices and leads to change. Coaching helps a person go beyond the mental blocks of what they thought was possible.
Coaching works as a partnership between coach and client, it helps to clarify goals, to make them challenging and motivating, then to achieve those goals with the energy that comes from their deepest values.
Our coaching approach has three key steps to help you succeed. They are:
1 – Define Your Deepest Goals
Deep goals come from the heart. They energize, excite and make you feel alive – thus, making success more likely.
2 – Remove Hidden Blockers
There are stoppers to your success that you are not aware of. We need to dig them out and remove them. It’s like greasing the slide to success.
3 – Take Easy-To-Do Action Steps
With blocks removed and a higher level of clarity, we get you started on simple steps you can take right away. You’ll feel great seeing things happen right away.
Yes, you can. We’ve seen many clients change in powerful ways. And they’ve likely had ambitions, goals, concerns and challenges that are similar to yours. Coaching can be the catalyst to profoundly shift the trajectory of your life, enabling you to change the quality of your life and the direction of your career in ways you never dreamed of.
What happens in our sessions stays in our sessions.
We fully understand the value of your trust, and we take every precaution to safeguard it. We will provide you with a detailed description of the ethical code that governs every client-coach relationship we enter. This document not only places our standards before you in plain text, but also codifies our commitment to you, the client, and your progress.
We meet with clients once a week. Through many years of experience and testing of different time frames, we’ve found that this frequency yields the greatest returns in terms of change. Meeting once a week offers time for reflection and application of learning between sessions, while maintaining the momentum of our work together.
In order to make coaching as convenient as possible for you, we offer coaching services over the phone/ Zoom for remote clients and busy executives. So it doesn’t matter where you work or live.
The time frame can vary greatly and depends on a wide range of factors: your goal(s), your commitment and openness to change, your capacity for introspection, your circumstances, how quickly and thoughtfully you complete homework assignments, and other unique factors.
We have individuals who come in for a very brief engagement (e.g., one important board presentation). We have others who come in focused on one goal, achieve that goal, and begin work on another goal and then another. Those individuals who partner with us in multiple capacities and for multiple goals work with us for a year or more.
Most established coaches working with individuals charge about $1,500 per month for a 30- to 60-minute call three or four times a month. Corporate coaching is more, and can cost up to $10,000 per month and usually starts at $500 per hour.

We do not offer refunds on coaching services because when refunds are an option, you can have “one foot in” the work, and “one foot out” the door. We are here to coach you to your highest level of success, and part of that is requiring a commitment from you that you are fully invested in your goal. If you’re in, you need to be 100% in, just as I will be for you. Of course, you’ll meet your coach & can decide BEFORE committing that we are the right partners for each other in helping you achieve your goal.
It is important that you prioritize this work to receive the full benefit of your coaching package.
The differences between coaching and psychotherapy are:
- Coaches focus on the future. Therapists focus on the past.
- Coaches center their work around the belief that clients are healthy. Therapists utilize a framework that is based on pathology and illness.
- Coaches’ work is often time-limited with specific desired behavioural outcomes. Therapists’ work is open-ended with “understanding” as the primary objective.
- Coaches work in person, as well as over the phone/ Zoom. Therapists usually work in person only.
There are similarities between coaching and psychotherapy as well. They are:
- Both are concerned with making concrete changes in your emotional state and life.
- Both work to understand the self-limiting beliefs or behaviour caused by thoughts and emotions that you may or may not be aware of.
- Both practices help you grow, change and master your emotions.

Life coaching works for several reasons:
Synergy between the life coach and client creates momentum and enthusiasm. Better goals are set — ones that naturally motivate the client. The client develops new skills, which lead to greater success.
Coaching provides a structure of support. Left to our own devices, most people start out with the best intentions and then hit a snag and either get derailed completely or delayed for a long time. An accredited Life Coach can help you quickly bust through snags and inevitable road blocks in life so that more is accomplished with less struggle and less effort in a remarkably short period of time.
Objectivity. Your coach is an objective, positive supporter. Not everyone is lucky enough to have such a friend or colleague to provide this. If you’ve been doing it solo, try seeing how much more you can accomplish with your own personal coach!
